ILOILO City – Police caught three persons engaging in illegal gambling in Barangay Man-it, Passi City.
Police identified them as Leonilo Penora, 50; Rumolo Orio, 54; and Joebert Palomo, 49.
The suspects were nabbed after officers chanced upon them playing tumbo around 12:30 a.m. on Feb. 16.
Recovered from their possession were P1,139 bet money.
Detained in the lockup cell of the Passi City police station, the suspects face charges for violation of Presidential Decree 1602, which prescribes stiffer penalties on illegal gambling./PN
