ILOILO City – An illegal possession of firearm charge may be filed against a resident of Barangay North Fundidor, Molo district.
A .38 revolver with five live bullets were seized from Jer Holbin Dela Cruz on Sunday in Barangay Calumpang, Molo, a police report showed.
Police received a report that a drunken Dela Cruz was brandishing his firearm while in Calumpang where he was temporarily staying.
The 28-year-old failed to show pertinent documents proving his legal ownership of the items, police said.
Dela Cruz was detained at the Molo police station custodial facility after his arrest at around 9:25 p.m.
His weapon was turned over to the Molo police station’s exhibit custodian. (With Carolyn Jane Abello, trainee reporter/PN)
