BACOLOD City – For alleged illegal fishing, four persons were arrested in Barangay Latasan, E.B. Magalona, Negros Occidental.
Authorities recovered four fishing vessels, fishes worth P30,000 and other paraphernalia around 7:10 a.m. on Nov. 30.
The suspects were James Elostrisimo and Niko Discotido, both residents of Barangay Banago in this city, and Jessie Diaz and Danny Pun-an, residents of Silay City, Negros Occidental.
They were taken to the municipal police station. They would be charged with violation of the municipal fishing ordinance./PN
