BACOLOD City – Five people were arrested on Saturday in Barangay Villamonte for allegedly being involved in illegal gambling.
Operatives of the City Intelligence Unit-Special Operations Group caught Rolando Magraso, 35, of Cadiz City; Jay-ar Oquiton, 25, of Kabankalan City; Willie dela Torre, 54; Roberto Rodriguez, 43; and Rajed Timplo, 35, for playing tumbo or cara y cruz.
Recovered from their possession were three P1 coins used as cue coins and P265 bet money.
Tumbo involves three coins of the same kind being tossed up in the air while the bettors hope luck are on their side; that once settled on the ground, all the three coins would show up as either king or crown./PN
