ILOILO City – Five persons were nabbed for illegal gambling in Barangay Igdalaquit, Sibalom, Antique.
Police identified them as Glenn Mark Pelingon, 33; Jerry Ubial, 38; Angelbert Espuerta, 25; Gilbert Espuerta, 23; and Christopher Desabal, 30.
The suspects – all residents of the municipality – were caught engaging in illegal spider derby around 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 25, police said.
Recovered from their possession were spiders placed in boxes, a table and P300 bet money.
The suspects were detained in the lockup facility of the Sibalom municipal police station, facing charges./PN
