AKLAN – Five students landed in separate hospitals after they figured in a road accident in Sitio Gubang, Barangay Guadalupe, Libacao town.
The victims – 21-year-old alias “Jun,” his 18-year-old sister, and their cousins ages 13 and 14 years old – sustained minor injuries in different parts of their bodies. Jun’s right hand was also fractured.
They were brought to Aklan Provincial Hospital.
Their other 12-year-old cousin was brought to a private hospital after experiencing nausea due to headache.
Jimmy Sison of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) said Jun was driving the motorcycle on their way to school when the accident occurred around 6:50 a.m. on Thursday, May 16.
Sison said the driver may have lost control of the motorcycle while traversing the bumpy road. They were thrown off their motorcycle, he added./PN
