54.93% of Sibalom’s target population fully vaxxed vs COVID

ANTIQUE – In the municipality of Sibalom, 54.93 percent of its target population have been fully vaccinated against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) as of May 4, data from the Municipal Health Office (MHO) showed.

The 54.93 percent is equivalent to 28,596 individuals.

On the other hand, 59.53 percent or 30,990 individuals are waiting for the second dose to be deemed fully vaccinated, too.

The target population of Sibalom for COVID-19 vaccination is 52,058 individuals.

As for COVID-19 booster shots, 2,163 individuals or 4.15 percent have so far availed themselves of the free inoculation.

Sibalom aims to be placed under the less restrictive Alert Level 1 pandemic status so it is widening its vaccination drive.

The province of Antique remains under Alert Level 2 but without prejudice to its municipalities which may otherwise be classified differently.

As of now, four towns in Antique are under Alert Level 1 – Sebaste, Tobias Fornier, Anini-y, and San Jose de Buenavista.

The 14 other towns are under Alert Level 2 – Barbaza, Belison, Caluya, Culasi, Bugasong, Libertad, Patnongon, San Remigio, Sibalom, Hamtic, Tibiao, Laua-an, Pandan and, Valderrama./PN
