Bacolod City – Six individuals were nabbed for alleged illegal gambling in Barangay 19-A, Victorias City, Negros Occidental.
They were the 45-year-old Ernie Chavez, 58-year-old Andres Ondo, 51-year-old Jolly Japitanan, 65-year-old Raymundo Flora, 49-year-old Priscilla Montera, and 36-year-old Ben Allen De Asis, a police report showed.
All of them are residents of Barangay 19-A.
They were caught on Tuesday on the strength of an arrest warrant issued by Judge Evelyn Arsenio of the Municipal Trial Court in Cities.
They were charged under Presidential Decree 1602, which prescribes stiffer penalties on illegal gambling.
The suspects were detained at the Victorias City police station lockup facility.
A P36,000 bail bond was recommended for each of their temporary liberty./PN
