BACOLOD City – A 7-year-old boy has gone missing in Barangay Haba, Candoni, Negros Occidental.
He was swept by the strong current when his 14-year-old brother lost grip of him while they were crossing a river to get santol fruits around 2 p.m. on Thursday.
The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office and the police conducted a rescue and retrieval operation but failed to find the boy.
Candoni police were still searching for the boy as of this writing./PN
