ILOILO City – In the campaign against all forms of illegal gambling, police arrested nine persons yesterday morning in Barangay Santo Rosario, Ajuy, Iloilo.
They were caught with P1,800 bet money. Eight game fowls were recovered, too, police said.
The suspects were Gerson Balibol, Apolinario Cabulong, Jemar Cabayao, Francis Jor, Allan Baqueriza, Rommel Dameres, Ardil Emmanuel, Melvin Cacho, and Jessie Damires.
They were detained at the Ajuy police station. Charges for violation of Presidential Decree 449 (Cockfighting Law of 1974) would be filed against them./PN
