ILOILO City – He was beaten up and robbed by a group of men he did not know, Kenneth Casalmer told the Mandurriao district police.
The 27-year-old was walking in front of the Philippine Airlines ticketing office in Barangay Bolilao, Mandurriao when he was waylaid by men he could identify only if he sees them again, a police report showed.
But Casalmer could tell that his attackers were drunk. He said they struck him on various parts of his body and took his jacket, worth P2,000; his wallet containing a PNB automated teller machine card and P4,600 cash; and his iPhone 6 Plus smartphone, worth P25,000.
The incident happened around 5 a.m. on July 31.
Police conducted a hot pursuit but have yet to arrest the culprits as of this writing. Casalmer also got himself checked by a physician./PN
