ILOILO City – In Barangay Progreso, Lapuz district, a man complained to the police that a neighbor attempted to stab him.
Police identified the complainant as Marlon Zablan, 20, of Barangay Aguilar, San Lorenzo, Guimaras who is temporarily staying in the Lapuz village.
Zablan claimed that 63-year-old Progreso, Lapuz resident Fred Dumincil attacked him after a confrontation at around 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 12, a police report showed.
It was not immediately clear what the confrontation was about.
Wielding an unidentified bladed weapon, Dimincil swung at Zablan but missed, the police report stated./PN
