ILOILO City – Agricultural operators and households in Guimaras were urged to help state surveyors accomplish the 2017 Listing of Farm Households (LFH).

Philippine Statistics Authority personnel started collecting data from 35 sample barangays in the island province on Sept. 13.

Data and information on the farm/holding of households and their farm operators were being gathered for the LFH. These will be used for the continuous development of agricultural-based sampling frame.

All households in the sample villages will be enumerated to determine the presence of household member/s operating a crop farm and/or a livestock/poultry farm between September last year and August this year, said PSA Guimaras chief statistical specialist Nelida Losare.

Barangays covered by the listing are:

  • Agsanayan, Avila, Piña, San Isidro, Taminla, Tinadtaran, and Zaldivar in Buenavista town

  • Alaguisoc, Balcon Maravilla, Bugnay, Lawi, San Miguel, Sinapsapan, and Santa Teresa in Jordan

  • Cabalagnan, Calaya, Concordia Sur, Dolores, Lanipe, Oracon Sur, Poblacion, and San Roque in Nueva Valencia

  • Aguilar, Cabano, Constancia, Gaban, M. Chavez, and Sapal in San Lorenzo

  • Concordia Norte, Maabay, Millan, Oracon Norte, Ravina, Sebaste, and Tanglad in Sibunag

Losare urged respondents to give truthful and complete information to the trained enumerators. All information they will provide to the PSA will be treated with utmost confidentiality, she stressed. (Lilibeth A. French, Philippine Information Agency/PN)
