ILOILO City – A house help in La Paz district was accused of stealing from her boss.
Roberto de la Cruz, 80, of Hechanova Street, Barangay Bantud, La Paz reported to the police that they lost several household items.
He believes their house help of almost three months, Phoebe Caro, took them, a police report showed.
At around 1 p.m. on Oct. 7, Caro borrowed money from him, de la Cruz said.
The house help has not paid for it, and her whereabouts were unknown, he claimed.
Later, de la Cruz said they discovered that the following items in their house were missing:
- vacuum cleaner, worth P3,000
-
electric pot, P1,800
-
skateboard, P2,000
De la Cruz told the police Caro may have carted them away, the police report showed./PN
