BACOLOD City – Residents found a dead man in his house in Barangay Patun-an, Calatrava, Negros Occidental.
Chief Inspector John Joel Batusbatusan, Calatrava police chief, said his men went to the place after receiving a report from village official Wilson Jorolan around 11 a.m. on Nov. 27.
The man was identified as the 60-year-old Franco Fuertes.
Jorolan told the police that foul odor was coming from Fuertes’ house, prompting them to check what’s inside.
Fuertes, who is living alone in his house, was last seen on Nov. 24, residents said.
Police said Fuertes may have been electrocuted.
Fuertes’ body was brought to the Calatrava District Hospital for a post-mortem examination./PN
