BACOLOD City – Serving search warrants in two houses in Barangay Mambulac, Silay City, Negros Occidental led to the arrests of the father and brothers of suspected drug lord Michael Divinagracia.
Joint elements of the Silay City police station and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 6 arrested Felizardo Divinagracia and sons Kenneth and Bryan on Thursday, a police report showed.
Police served search warrants issued by Judge Ana Celeste Bernad of the Regional Trial Court in Silay City against Michael when the Divinagracias were caught.
Shabu were recovered from the Divinagracias, police said.
In Felizardo’s house in Kalye Onse in the village, police seized 11 sachets of shabu weighing 20 grams valued at an estimated P100,000.
Police also recovered from Felizardo P7,000 cash.
In Purok Patuloy also in the village, police found from Kenneth and Bryan’s house 13 sachets of shabu weighing 15 grams worth some P75,000.
Felizardo, Kenneth and Bryan were detained at the Silay City police station lockup facility.
They were facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
