ILOILO City – Two young men reported to the police that they have been attacked in Barangay Lopez Jaena Sur, La Paz district.
They were no match to their four attackers, said Mark Lorenz Acanto, 27, and Jojie Galas, 25.
They told the La Paz police were walking in the village at around 1 a.m. on March 3 when they came across four men.
One of the men asked them sternly, “Ano tulok mo (What are you looking at)?” and struck Acanto with a piece of wood, a police report stated.
Another one from the group threw at them a bottle of soda, which shattered and its broken pieces hit their legs, the complainants said.
A security guard of a bakeshop went out to check the incident, prompting their attackers to flee, they added.
Acanto and Galas sustained lacerations on their legs.
Iloilo City Emergency Response team personnel applied first-aid treatment on them. The complainants refused to seek further medical attention, the report stated./PN
