ILOILO City – Renzo Jade Encargues turned 19 on March 1. The following day, his father found him dead.
Encargues, a resident of Zone 5, Barangay Caingin, La Paz district, committed suicide by hanging, police said.
His father Jerry, 56, reported to the police at around 6 p.m. on March 2 that his son killed himself, a police report showed.
Jerry found Encargues hanging from the ceiling of his bedroom with a yellow nylon rope tied around his neck at around 5 p.m. that day, police said, citing investigation.
Encargues was born on March 1, 1999, the police report stated.
Officers who checked the house did not find any sign of foul play where the body was found, police said.
The body was taken to a funeral home in Mandurriao district./PN
