‘Neighbors tried to hurt me’ – Tagbac man

ILOILO City – In Barangay Tagbac, Jaro district, a 58-year-old man reported his neighbors to the police for attempts to harm him.

Rolando Pinolan and son Ryan attacked him while he was on his way home, Eduardo Galgo told the Jaro police station.

Galgo suspected that Ryan, 28, threw an object at their house.

At around 7 a.m. on May 28, Galgo confronted Ryan, telling him, “Kamo naghaboy ka balay?”

Wala ko ya ka haboy,” Ryan replied. Then a fistfight ensued between them until bystanders broke up the scuffle.

Galgo was on his way home when Rolando – armed with an iron pipe – approached and attempted to strike him.

Ryan, on the other hand, shot him using a firearm of an unknown caliber several times but he was not hit, Galgo told the police.

The Pinolans cannot be reached for comment as of this writing.

Police referred the incident to the barangay lupon. (March Gernine Aguacito, Intern/PN)
