ILOILO City – In a hospital was where a resident of Lambunao, Iloilo landed after getting stabbed.
The 20-year-old man Emmanuel Quimba of Barangay Cayan Este, Lambunao, Iloilo was recuperating at the Lambunao District Hospital. He sustained a stab wound on the stomach, a police report showed.
The suspect was identified as 18-year-old Rowenze Lego, the report added.
Police investigators said Quimba with his friends were dancing inside the dance hall of Barangay Maite Pequino, Lambunao when Lego attacked the victim using a bladed weapon around 10:30 p.m. on Feb. 15. It was however not immediately established what the motive in the incident was.
Responding police officers were able to arrest Quimba who tried to escape.
The suspect was detained in the lockup cell of the municipal police station, facing charges./PN
