BACOLOD City – Seven residents were caught playing bingo in Barangay 1, Manapla, Negros Occidental. They were Jenny Rose Lampago, Marissa Cilin, Teresita Doronila, Mary Ann Lobado, Merly Gadian, Ma. Erleen Dela Cruz, and Cherry Linda, police said.
Authorities recovered P141 bet money and bingo paraphernalia around 3:30 p.m. on July 21.
The suspects were detained at the municipal police station. Charges for violation of Presidential Decree 1602 that outlaws illegal gambling would be filed against them./PN
