ILOILO City – An employee of the Iloilo Provincial Capitol was arrested in yesterday’s antidrug operation of the police in Barangay Don Esteban, Lapuz district.
The 42-year-old Jojerick “Chong” Bisnar, a native of Barangay 3, San Miguel, Iloilo, was arrested at 12:55 p.m.
Bisnar was an Administrative Aide 4 at the Iloilo Provincial Budget Office. He sold P5,000 worth of suspected shabu to a poseur buyer, according to the Iloilo City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU).
Eight more sachets, weighing 20 grams and valued at P136,000, were recovered.
“Diri siya ga-distribute sa ini nga barangay, sa City Proper kag didto sa certain municipality sa province. May information kita nga ang source niya Jaro kag may ginakwaan man siya sa province,” said Lieutenant Colonel Antonio Benitez Jr. of the CDEU. “It took us two months to arrest him because he was so slippery.”
Bisnar is currently detained at the Iloilo City Police Station 2 (La Paz) and faces charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
