BACOLOD City – Police were still trying to identify the person who shot a barangay captain and two other men in Ayungon, Negros Oriental.
Tibyawan barangay captain Junry Depillo, 38, was killed, while Geneboy Dequit, 32, and Michael Guleman, 30, of the same village were injured.
Someone armed with a .45 pistol barged into Depillo’s house and fired at the three, who were drinking on Jan. 28, police said.
Dequit and Guleman were taken to the Negros Oriental Provincial Hospital in Dumaguete City.
Seven fired cartridges and a slug of a .45 pistol were found at the crime scene./PN
