KALIBO, Aklan – The Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) of Aklan wants to be accredited by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
Vice Gov. Reynaldo Quimpo disclosed this during their Christmas party in this capital town on Monday evening.
“We are now in close coordination with the Anglo Japanese American, the certifying body of the ISO, in complying with the requirements,” said Quimpo.
His wife, former vice governor Gabrielle Calizo-Quimpo, is working on the compliance.
As part of delivering services more efficiently, the Provincial Board will soon inaugurate a new building.
Quimpo urged the press to actively participate in all Board undertakings toward more transparent governance.
“We consider the press our best friend in development work,” he said. (PNA)
