BORACAY – A Swiss man and a security guard were caught in separate antidrug operations in this island resort.
Island and mainland Malay police caught the 30-year-old Claude Gindrat and the 33-year-old Errol Elisan in Barangay Manoc-manoc.
Gindrat, owner of New Sampaguita Residence in Sitio Tulubhan, sold a plastic pack of suspected shabu to an undercover officer around 6:30 a.m. on Dec. 17.
Police recovered two more plastic packs of similar substance from the suspect.
Operatives also seized from his live-in partner, the 26-year-old Mary Love Guzon, a native of Murcia, Negros Occidental, a plastic pack of the same substance.
Two hours later, around 8:30 a.m., police also arrested the security guard Elisan, a native of San Jose, Romblon temporarily staying in Sitio Lugotan.
Elisan sold a plastic pack of suspected shabu to an undercover officer for P1,000. He yielded another plastic pack of similar substance.
Officers from the Boracay Tourist Assistance Center (BTAC) and the Municipal Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Group staged the operations.
Both Gindrat and Elisan were detained in the BTAC lockup cell. They were facing charges for sale and possession of prohibited drugs. (Aklan Forum Journal/PN)
