Area 7 nabs 4 golds in Negros provincial meet

BAGO CITY, Negros Occidental – Area 7 track and field team immediately made its presence felt in the Negros Provincial Meet 2019 with three gold medals on Monday here.

Kyla Joe Loredo and Brineth Padroncillo Cupan spearheaded Area 7’s attack with  a gold and bronze medal finishes in the secondary girls 400-meter dash.

“I am happy for Kyla because her prayers, hard work and patience paid off,” said Area 7 head coach Addy Arca on the Romanito Maravilla National High School product.

Jennifer Hudierez also delivered a gold medal for Area 7 tracksters by topping the secondary girls 100 meter hurdles, while Franzine Alamo also ruled the secondary girls long jump.

NOPSSCEA, meanwhile, also had a decent start with a silver medal for Ara Delotavo in secondary girls 100-meter hurdles, while Antonette Jay Aguillon finished with bronze in secondary girls long jump.

Meanwhile, NOPSSCEA-Bacolod Tay Tung High School Thunderbolts had a winning start to its title-retention bid after defeating Area 1 on Monday at the Montalbo Residence in Bacolod City./PN
