ELEMENTARY and high school volleyball teams of Ateneo de Iloilo (ADI) will see action during the exhibition game of Ateneo Lady Eagles and Perlas-BanKo Lady Spikers on Aug. 20 at the University of San Agustin (USA) gym in Iloilo City.
ADI elementary girls will face USA elementary girls at 2 p.m., while ADI high school squad will battle Block 17 at 3 p.m., according to event organizer Ruding Villaruz.
“We are glad that Ateneo de Iloilo accepted our invitation to play in the preliminary games of the Ateneo-Perlas match,” Villaruz told Panay News. “We expect these two games to be exciting.”
Another exhibition match at 4 p.m. will feature two team comprising standouts in the Biron Cup women’s volleyball.
“It will be a good opportunity for these volleyball players to showcase their talent. The Lady Eagles coaching staff will be there watching,” Villaruz said.
Among the Biron Cup standouts expected to get included are Glaudine Trongcoso, twins Liana Rose and Lenee Rose Jamayo, Eunice Peosca, Yen Yen Celiz, and Marianne Sotomil, he said.
