KALIBO, Aklan – Today is the last day of the 3rd Ati-Atihan Futsal Cup.
Futsal teams from the provinces of Cebu, Capiz and Iloilo joined the sports event.
Teams competing in the boys division were the Iloilo Schools United Football Club, San Agustin Iloilo Football Club, Janiuay United Football Club, Iloilo Christian School Football Club, Iloilo Young Booters, Ateneo Football Club, Bitoy’s Football Club, Global Academy, Aklan Valley High School, Manoc-Manoc High School Football Club, New Lucena Football Club, and Kalibo Sakeros Football Club.
In the girl’s division, the teams are Barotac Nuevo National High School Football Club, Central Philippine University Team A, Iloilo City National High School Football Club, Aklan Team, Santa Barbara Futbolilits, New Washington Team, Central Philippine University Team B, Project 1stGoal, Cebu Raskals Football Club, Capiz High Lady Warriors, Guimbal Football Club, Manoc-Manoc High School Football Club, and Kalibo Sakeros Football Club.
The futsal cup had a pre-event game on Jan. 5 at CityMall Kalibo before it kicked off yesterday at the Aklan Catholic College covered gym in this capital town.
The tournament is open to boys who were born in 2000 and girls born in 1999.
It is organized by the Kalibo Sakeros Football Club, Kalibo Santo Niño Ati-Atihan Foundation, Inc., and the Kalibo municipal government.
