BACOLOD City – A man was found dead in Barangay Matab-ang, Talisay City, Negros Occidental.
The 38-year-old Rocky Lopez of Barangay Alijis here sustained gunshot wounds on the head and body, a police report showed. He died on the spot.
A placard bearing the words, “Sorry indi na ako kapangawat kag kapang hold-up kag baligya shabu. Goodbye earth,” were also found on the victim’s feet.
According to police investigators, residents heard six gunshots after which they saw the assailants flee using a vehicle prior to discovering the victim’s body around 8:00 p.m. on March 12. As of this writing, officers of the Talisay City police station have yet to identify the suspects but are looking into drugs as the motive in the killing./PN
