BACOLOD City – A three-year-old boy drowned in a water drum in Hacienda Rosario Sur, Barangay Granada.
The overfatigued Junerey Villarosa, the victim’s father, was home from work as a sugarcane laborer and fell asleep.
When he woke up, his child was no longer beside him.
The boy’s mother was also at work.
Granada village chief Alfredo Talimodao said they tried to take the child to the hospital, but he was declared dead upon arrival.
The barangay would provide financial assistance to the family./PN
