TIMOTHE Luwawu-Cabarrot drained two three-pointers down the stretch as the Brooklyn Nets pulled off a 119-116 upset over Milwaukee Bucks in the restart of 2019-2020 NBA season on Wednesday at Lake Buena Vista in Orlando, Florida.
After seeing their 94-88 advantage at the start of the fourth turned into a 110-107 deficit, Luwawu-Cabarrot and Chris Chiozza came up with five straight points to put the Nets back on top with 2:59 left.
Luwawu-Cabarrot widened the lead for the Nets at the 2:31 mark on another three-pointer. The Bucks tried to come close but a triple by Kyle Korver was reduced to a two-pointer.
Luwawu-Cabarrot finished with a career-high 26 points, Garrett Temple added 19, Tyler Johnson and Justin Anderson each had 11, and Rodions Kurucs and Chris Chiozza had 10 apiece for the Nets.
Giannis Antetokounmpo finished with 16 points before sitting out the entire second half, Korver scored 13 points, and Ersan Ilyasova had double-double 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Bucks.
The Nets have a patchwork lineup in the NBA restart with Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant and Deandre Jordan not joining the bubble, while Caris LeVert, Jarrett Allen and Joe Harris sitting out the match.
On the part of Bucks, aside from Antetokounmpo resting the entire second half, they have rested Brook Lopez and Wesley Matthews in the match./PN
