Capiz in PIA ‘Hall of Fame’

ROXAS City – Capiz received three “Hall of Fame” awards from the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Region 6.

The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) and the Provincial Health Office’s (PHO) Epidemiological Surveillance and Response Unit were Hall of Fame awardees as Best Performing Information Offices in Western Visayas.

PDRRMO head Esperidion Pelaez was likewise conferred the Best Performing Information Officer Hall of Fame award.

On the other hand, PHO information officer Ayr Altavas and the Roxas City Fire Station Public Information Section were among this year’s Best Performing Information Officers and Best Performing Information Offices, respectively.

The Search for the Best Performing Information Office/Officer is an annual activity of the PIA in Western Visayas to appreciate and recognize the individual and collective efforts of information officers in national government agencies and local government units.

Presidential Communications Office secretary Martin Andanar, PIA director general Harold Clavite and PIA Region 6 director Ma. Janet Mesa will lead the awarding ceremonies Friday, Dec. 2 in Iloilo City. (PIA/PN)
