ROXAS City – Micro, small and medium enterprises in Capiz that observe “green practices” in doing business were acknowledged during the opening of the Capiz Product Expo in this city.
The Pinearts Crafts, College of St. John and The Health Centrum, Inc. were declared champions in the small, medium and large categories, respectively.
They received a trophy, a certificate and a token each.
Department of Trade and Industry provincial director Ermelinda Pollentes said the Capiz Small and Medium Enterprise Development Council spearheaded this year’s Capiz Green Enterprise Awards.
The Capiz Green Enterprise Awards was launched last year and aims to “recognize Capiz entrepreneurs that practice green strategies and initiatives, strengthen advocacy on environmental protection and conservation through environment-friendly practices and initiatives, as well as make greening as a way of life among Capiz businessmen,” Pollentes added.
This year’s awarding ceremony was part of the Sinadya 2017: Piyesta De La Immaculada Concepcion celebration in Capiz./PN
