ILOILO City – For playing and betting on pusoy bahig, seven people were detained at Police Station 1.
Officers caught the following playing the card game, also known as Russian poker, on corner Burgos-Rizal streets in Barangay Ortiz, City Proper:
* Leopoldo Pula Jr., 43, Barangay Compania Central, Molo district
* Bernie Baylocon, 46, Barangay San Antonio, Molo
* Blas Oquindo, 45, Barangay Tap-ok, Molo
* Renly Parreñas, 28, Barangay Cabugao Norte, Pavia, Iloilo
* Ronald Estacio, 33, Barangay Caingin, La Paz
* Patricio Escarnuela, 39, Barangay Hinabtaban, Dao, Capiz
* Mark Andrada, 23, Barangay Pandac, Pavia
They were taken to the police station after their arrest around 3:30 p.m. on July 29.
A deck of playing cards and P471 worth of bet money were seized from them./PN
