BACOLOD City – Police raided a house in Barangay Caliling, Cauayan, Negros Occidental, leading to the recovery of loose firearms.
Two .45-caliber pistols and 12 live bullets were seized from 35-year-old resident Rene Querpo, a police report showed.
The police conducted the raid on the strength of a search warrant around 7:30 a.m. on Aug. 26, 2020.
The suspect was detained in the lockup facility of the Cauayan municipal police station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
