ILOILO City – For illegal possession of firearm, a man was arrested in Barangay Poblacion, Alimodian, Iloilo.
Resident John Paul Cambong was caught at a police checkpoint around 6 a.m. on Sept. 7, a police report showed.
When frisked, Cambong yielded an improvised 12-gauge shotgun loaded with two live bullets, the report added. He failed to show pertinent papers showing his legal ownership of the weapon, police said.
The suspect was detained in the lockup cell of the Alimodian police station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
