BACOLOD City – A church minister’s brother was stabbed to death at the back of the city hall along Jones-San Juan streets in Barangay Zone 4, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.

Chief Inspector Rocky Desear, head of the Cadiz City police, identified the man as the 61-year-old resident Abener Ore.

From what the police gathered so far, an unidentified suspect stabbed Ore at around 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 12.

Ore sustained six stab wounds on the chest, stomach, neck, and back.

The suspect fled after the stabbing, police said.

Ore was rushed to the Cadiz District Hospital where attending physician Dr. Ritzie Marie Salado pronounced him “dead on arrival.”

Cadiz City police have yet to determine the suspect and the motive in the stabbing./PN
