Construction worker jailed for ‘illegal gun’

ILOILO City – Policemen of San Jose, Antique searched a house in Barangay Badiang and recovered improvised guns and ammunition. 

The subject of the raid, Isidro Gilua, 38, was taken to the municipal police station Wednesday morning.

Confiscated from his possession were a 12-gauge shotgun with several live bullets and a .38-caliber revolver.

The suspect failed to produce papers attesting to the legality of his ownership of the weapons.

The raid was effected around 6:35 a.m. The police had a search warrant from the court.

Gilua faces a charge for violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
