ILOILO City – He was crossing the road when a pickup hit him.
The 70-year-old Juan Astaquinta was killed in a road accident in Barangay Pili, Ajuy, Iloilo, a police report showed.
Astaquinta – resident of the village – sustained head and body injuries. He died on the spot.
According to police investigation, the victim got hit by a pickup driven by Major Samuel Viponosa, police chief of Balasa, Iloilo.
Vipinosa was temporarily held in the Ajuy police station. He is willing to amicably settle the incident./PN
