ILOILO City – Policemen of Leganes, Iloilo searched a house in Barangay Gua-an and recovered loose guns and ammunition.
The subject of the raid, 35-year-old Lloyd Katipunan, was arrested and taken to the municipal police station yesterday.
Recovered from his possession were two units of a .45-caliber pistol and assorted ammunitions.
The suspect failed to produce papers attesting to the legality of his ownership of the weapon.
The raid was effected around 9 a.m. The police had a search warrant from the court.
Katipunan faces a charge for violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
