BACOLOD City – Officers from Police Station 8 served a man with an arrest warrant in Barangay 14.
Judge Phoebe Gargantiel-Balbin of the Regional Trial Court Branch 45 in Bacolod City issued the warrant against resident Rodel Villarina on July 17, 2017.
Villarina – who was charged for violation of Republic Act 10883, or the New Anti-Carnapping Law of 2016 – was arrested around 10 a.m. on Jan. 4, a police report showed.
He was detained at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology in Barangay Hadumanan.
The court recommended no bail bond for Villarina’s temporary liberty./PN
