BACOLOD City – Police arrested two men in a drug buy-bust operation in Purok Sigay, Barangay 2. Shabu worth some P105,000 were recovered from them, police said.

Police Station 2 commander Chief Inspector Benedicto Villarias identified the men as the 18-year-old Marwin “Tong-it” Navarro and the 32-year-old Sheddah Apawan. Both were residents of Barangay 2.

According to Senior Inspector Adrian James Albaytar of the City Drug Enforcement Unit, Navarro and Apawan were newly identified drug suspects.

They were arrested after Apawan sold shabu to a poseur-buyer outside Navarro’s house on Thursday, a police report showed.

Police recovered from Apawan and Navarro five sachets of shabu, a weighing scale, and other drug paraphernalia.

Apawan and Navarro were detained at the Police Station 2 custodial facility and facing charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

On the other hand, officers from Police Station 10 caught the 33-year-old Mary Liza “Miray” Pahamutang of Purok San Roque, Barangay Handumanan around 2 p.m. on Friday.

Pahamutang was the No. 1 drug suspect of the Police Station 10.

Confiscated from her possession were four sachets of shabu and drug paraphernalia.

Pahamutang was detained at the Police Station 10 lockup facility and facing charges for violation of sections 5, 11 and 12 of RA 9165./PN
