ILOILO City – The Mandurriao police station is readying a string of charges against a theft suspect arrested on Saturday in Barangay San Rafael, Mandurriao district.
The 37-year-old Steen Dy of Barangay Ungka II, Pavia, Iloilo faces charges for attempted theft, resistance and disobedience, oral defamation, and assault upon an agent of person in authority.
Police Patrolman Christian Hernandez and Patrolman John Paul Bautista of the Mandurriao police station arrested Dy around 10:30 p.m. on Nov. 20.
According to a police report, the cops spotted the suspect trying to remove a spare tire of a parked pickup truck.
When they tried to handcuff Dy, he resisted and orally defamed them, according to the cops.
