BACOLOD City – A court in Valenzuela City ordered the arrest of a resident of Ilog, Negros Occidental for alleged child abuse.
Regional Trial Court Branch 270 (Valenzuela City, National Capital Region) Judge Evangeline Francisco issued the warrant of arrest against the 25-year-old Gilbert Paquit on Oct. 17, 2016 yet.
Municipal police served Paquit the warrant around 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 18 in Barangay Bocana, Ilog. He was detained in the lockup cell of the Ilog police station pending his transfer to Metro Manila.
Paquit was charged with violation of the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act, specifically Section 5 (b).
Francisco set the bail at P180,000./PN
