ILOILO City – In Barangay Maya, Balasan, Iloilo, police arrested a husband for domestic violence.
Cops served to Dioscoro Fariolan an arrest warrant around 5:40 p.m. on Jan. 16.
Fariolan was a resident of Barangay Bayuyan, Estancia town. He was detained at the Balasan police station.
Judge Rogelio Amador of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 66 issued the arrest warrant. Fariolan was accused of violating Republic Act 9262 (Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act).
As of this writing, it was unclear if Fariolan was able to post bail that the court set at P24,000./PN
