ILOILO City – Charged with two counts of child abuse, the barangay captain of Laguinbanua West, Numancia, Aklan was arrested.
From his house, the 43-year-old Alvin Nabor was taken to the municipal police station on Jan. 16.
The police served Nabor’s arrest warrant around 1:30 p.m.
Judge Bienvenido Barrios of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 3 issued the arrest warrant.
Nabor was accused of violating Republic Act 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act).
Nabor could not be reached for comment as of this writing./PN
