ILOILO City – A total of 21 suspects, including nine high-value targets and a minor, were arrested by the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) in a series of anti-illegal drug operations from May 1 to 15, 2025.
The 17 operations carried out across the city also led to the confiscation of around 1,016.6466 grams of suspected shabu worth P6.91 million and 67.8667 grams of marijuana valued at P8,144.
The largest drug haul was made in coordination with the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 6, which accounted for 400.7644 grams of the seized shabu. The remaining recoveries were made by the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) and Iloilo City Police Stations 2, 7, 9, and 10.
These arrests and seizures highlight ICPO’s continuing efforts to dismantle local drug networks and reduce illegal drug circulation at both street and high-level operations.
“We are not just counting arrests and grams — we are protecting futures,” said ICPO director Colonel Kim P. Legada. “Each arrest is a step closer to dismantling drug syndicates that prey on our communities. Let us not grow complacent, because the cost of inaction is far too great.”
The ICPO further vowed to sustain momentum in the fight against illegal drugs and continue working closely with communities and stakeholders to protect the city from the harms of substance abuse./PN
