ILOILO – The year 2016 is a good year for the provincial government, according to Gov. Arthur Defensor Sr. He hoped that 2017 will be the same, too.
Among others, he wanted all the programs and projects of the provincial government realized before his terms end in 2019.
“Madamo ako sing ginalantaw nga programa and I’m rushing them kay duha na lang ka tuig kag tunga nga nabilin sa akon,” said Defensor.
He cited the 600-kilometer provincial roads he hoped would be concreted before his terms ends.
“I will do everything nga ang tanan nga programa kag proyekto nga ara na nakalinya, tinguhaan ko gid matapos before I step down,” said Defensor.
He also has several New Year wishes for the country.
“The communist insurgency problem, Abu Sayyaf problem and the war on illegal drugs. I’m crossing my fingers. Kabay pa mangin madinalag-on ang aton gobyerno sa sina nga bagay,” said Defensor.
The survival of this nation is “greatly dependent on the success of the government,” he stressed./PN
