ILOILO City – A drinking session between two brothers led to hacking in Barangay Morcillas, Tubungan, Iloilo.
The 32-year-old Arnel Ellama was rushed to the Rep. Pedro G. Trono Memorial Hospital in Guimbal, Iloilo due to hack wounds he sustained on Dec. 20.
According to the police, Arnel and his brother, Romeo – both residents of the village – were having a drinking session around 6:30 p.m. when an altercation ensued.
This prompted Romeo to hack Arnel using a bolo, police said.
As of this writing, it was still unclear what triggered the argument.
Responding officers of the Tubungan municipal police were able to arrest Romeo.
They took him in custody for filing of appropriate charges./PN
