NEGROS Occidental – A 48-year-old driver was injured after being stabbed during an altercation in Purok Langka, Barangay Tabugon, Kabankalan City, on Monday, December 8.
According to the Kabankalan City Police Station, the victim was playing scatter when the suspect, identified as alias “Josh,” 28, approached him at around 3 a.m.
A heated argument later ensued between them, leading to a physical struggle during which the suspect allegedly stabbed the victim on the left side of the neck using a bladed weapon.
The victim was recuperating at the Lorenzo D. Zayco District Hospital.
Meanwhile, at around 4:15 p.m. on the same day, Kabankalan City police received information from a barangay kagawad regarding the incident. The suspect later voluntarily surrendered to barangay officials and was turned over to the Kabankalan City Police Station for proper disposition./PN
